    The B17 is one of the most popular Brooks models, ideal for almost any bicycle. It has been on the market for over 100 years, being featured in as early as the 1898 Brooks catalogue. Basically, it's a refined version of the B17 Standard (#0906) which adds hammered copper rivets, plated rails and chamfered edges. When properly cared for, a B17 will break in reasonably quickly and last for many years. We recommend use of Brooks Proofide (#2865) for easy break-in and maintenance. You may also want the saddle tension wrench (#2867) for when your saddle is well worn in. A waterproof saddle cover (#1005) is a good idea for all weather riding.
