| Traditionally, a mechanic would slam a tube down onto the bearing surface to seat the crown race. With the CRS-1, the bearing surface is spared a direct hit by using different setting rings to ensure proper fit. After choosing the correct setting ring, slide the tool over the steerer tube and tap firmly on the end cap of the tool with a hammer to seat the crown race. Included is one universal setting tube, three 1 inch setting rings, and three 1-1/8 inch setting rings. NOTE: The 838 setting ring for certain Trek and Klein carbon forks is not included. |
